"Since the beginning, where there were a total of 6 employees, the company has seen rapid growth and now employs around 270 people with expectations of having a total of more than 400 employees within the next couple of years. The main reason for this growth is that more and more of the production is moving to the factory in Chiang Mai – cutlery being the latest."
So the bad AJ cutlery is made in Thailand, eh? Hmm, high profit margin for a lousy quality, isn't it?
It is OK to move the production abroad as long as the quality is the same. If you sell quality, give the customers the high quality you have promised. If the products are like cheap junkies, then it is called cheating, an act that will ruin Georg Jensen brand sooner or later.
